How do I unfreeze my credit to apply?

A credit freeze restricts access to your credit report, typically as a security measure to prevent new accounts being opened in your name. As a result, we’re unable to process your application if you have a credit freeze in place.

Here’s how you can temporarily lift your credit freeze to apply:

  1. Log into TransUnion or create an account
  2. Once logged in, you will be presented with a status screen that says “Frozen”
  3. To unfreeze, click the button that says “Remove Freeze”
  4. Complete your application before the expiration date
